From September, 2008 to May, 2009, the Montana Big Sky NCGR Chapter is hosting FREE monthly recorded teleconferences! Because we are trying to usher in astrology to a remote area, and because most of us do not live geographically close whatsoever, we wish to implement this program to assist the growth of astrology in Montana and other rural, surrounding areas! It was nice to see some friendly faces come out and join us this day! ______________________________________ The Third Annual Astrology Gathering was hosted in Missoula on September 23, 2006, featuring Butte's own Albert Stephens, our Chapter Treasurer, and a regular contributor to Dell Horoscope and Mountain Astrologer Magazines who regularly practices Western, Vedic, Heliocentric and Mundane Astrology. We also welcomed Emigrant Astrologer Kathie Garcia, an international speaker with numerous publications to her credit, the most well-known is the "ChildStar" Report available through Kepler Software, and demonstrated her newest Kepler Report, "AstroJourney" for 18-29 year-olds, an age range from when we are considered adults by society to when we are considered adults by astrology. Hamilton Astrologer Lisa Allen's topic was "Not All Aspects Are Equal" which integrated the important part of the Essential Dignities and demonstrated how to distinguish an opening or a closing aspect, and why you would want to know. We also managed to be flatteringly featured in Jamie Kelly's column of "E" Entertainment Weekly, part of the Missoulian. ______________________________________ Although the Second Annual Astrology Conference held on September 16-18, 2005 was downsized to a one-day Gathering due to circumstances beyond our control, the intimacy and friendships formed were just as important as the content of the gathering, which was filmed by Missoula's Community TV Channnel MCAT. Lisa Allen spoke about transitioning to professional, as well as some occupational hazards that caught her off guard when she began. Emily Coleman and Roeby Simons brought their computers from a long distance to show us how they make their online astrological column-newsletter (and we even got to participate in making the next forecast). MoonCat! Melissa Mason surprised us by expanding on her original topic Saturn opposite Chiron to incorporate Saturn's opposition to all the outer planets, collectively over a decade's worth of transits. After dinner, Albert Stephens had his own insightful Saturn-Chiron information to share, as well as a very convincing case for any of us to just look into heliocentric astrology! We sold a few donated books and even gained a new Montana NCGR member in the process! Bojana's Online 5-week Astrology Mathematics Class is completed! We hope to assemble these lessons on a 5-CD set for sale at a very reasonable price very soon (or FREE for new Montana Big Sky Chapter Members), check back or email us for more information. __________________________________________________ Montana Big Sky NCGR Chapter's First Annual Astrology Conference, August 20-22, 2004. Featured Leigh Westin, Albert Stephens, Anita Doyle and MoonCat! Melissa Mason - Missoula, Montana For the first annual conference, we were interviewed by the Missoula Independent, a popular free weekly alternative newspaper (story by Robin Troy broke on Thursday, August 19, 2004), and since MCAT TV (Missoula Channel 7) allowed us to film part of this event, we are proud that MoonCat! Melissa Mason's 48-minute lecture on composite charts between astrologer and client had aired on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 5:30pm MST, and again on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25, 2004 at 9:00pm. I understand that MCAT may also air this at other later times and those times will be posted here as we find out, so stay tuned! As for the CD's of Leigh Westin, Anita Doyle and Albert Stephens, because of Mercury Rx during the conference, the video camcorder did not record the sound for some reason, and the backup audio recordings were too muffled to use (mostly due to the tape recorder being behind the lecturers). We have learned our lesson! Also, CD's of Bojana's Online Astrology Mathematical Presentation (recorded during each Thursday in March, 2005) will be available to Montana NCGR Members when completed. We have recently restructured the meetings schedule in order to "work" better for our spread-all-over membership! From September 2008 to May 2009, we will schedule FREE monthly astrology teleconferences - we hope everyone participates. We also plan to have "in-person" astrology gatherings once a year, usually in September. Stay tuned for future dates and locations. In the past, from March 3, 2005 through March 31, 2005, we hosted online, and our Education Director Bojana Nikolic-Tirkas taught, a 5-week online astrological mathematics course for our chapter's current members free of charge, so that they may take the certification testing. Most of our members are already professional and we felt this is the only area that needs emphasis at this time. Level I Testing was implemented and two members passed! These CD's of material are available FREE with a membership to the Montana Big Sky Chapter!
